I’m Aisha, co-founder and CEO of Marej, and a cybersecurity professional who’s just as passionate about people as I am about security. Teaching, mentoring, and helping others break into the field is where I thrive.

Think of me as your guide to navigating the ever-evolving world of cybersecurity. I’ve spent years honing my skills in the trenches, racking up certifications: GFACT, GSEC, GCIH, and GPEN. From telecom and network security as an advisor and expert to hands-on experience as a security architect, I’ve seen it all.

And throughout my career, I’ve also been passionate about sharing my knowledge. I love breaking down complex cybersecurity concepts and making them accessible to students of all levels. Whether it’s mentoring aspiring security professionals or leading workshops, teaching is a core part of my commitment to the cybersecurity community. Also, for all neurodivergent folks in cyber, I’m a neurodivergent, with a full neurodivergent family! My passions range from fibre arts to OSINT!

I’m Momna Farooq, and my passion lies at the intersection of cybersecurity and empowering others. By day, I specialize in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). I love helping organizations navigate the tricky world of regulations while still encouraging innovation. Basically, I build and maintain security controls and frameworks that keep businesses safe.

But my real joy comes from giving back to the cybersecurity community. I’m a huge advocate for education, and I’m dedicated to teaching cybersecurity concepts to both the next generation and those looking to make a career change. I want to make sure everyone has the tools they need to tackle today’s cyber challenges. I also work with non-profit organizations to organize hackathons and other competitions. It’s an incredible experience to bring tech enthusiasts and professionals together to collaborate, learn from each other, and grow. I truly believe in mentorship and fostering growth in the cybersecurity community.

I’m a co-founder of Marej, and through it, I hope to make a real difference in the field. I’m driven by the idea of making complex topics accessible and empowering others.
